COVID-19, also know as coronavirus is currently spreading across our country and our world. We know this time can be confusing, but it’s important to stay informed. Our team wants you to know exactly what steps we are taking to prevent the spread of this virus. We also want to share with you steps you can take for yourself, your family, and your friends as well.

Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19

The best way to prevent coronavirus is by stopping the spread of it. The Centers for Disease Control and the World Heath Organization recommends practicing six steps to protect yourself, and others, from the coronavirus. First, wash your hands often. Do so with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol is a good option as well. Second, avoid close contact. COVID-19 spreads person-to-person, so its important to put distance between yourself and other people. Third, stay home if you are sick. Only leave if you are in need of medical care. Fourth, cover all coughs and sneezes. Follow up with washing your hands immediately afterward. Fifth, wear a facemask if you are sick. A facemask is not needed if you are not sick. Sixth, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. During this time, it is important to keep yourself informed and prepared, rather than scared. We will get through this crisis together.

Pritzker initiated a stay at home order that also included “the continuation of essential activities.” The services offered by Unilogic fall into that category, and we are proudly still serving our community during this time. As you may know, larger supply chain organizations are being shut down for cleaning, and they are sending workers home to be quarantined. Others are adopting stricter cleaning policies to ensure the safety of all warehouse workers and their products. Because of this, we believe it is more important than ever that we take action as well. The following measures are being taken to continue serving clients:

  • Our office spaces have reduced the number of on-site team members to the absolute minimum while simultaneously implementing the principles of social distancing in the office space.
  • We have implemented increased cleaning and disinfecting of common and high-touch areas of our offices and warehouses and team members are utilizing PPE (personal protective equipment) in their interactions with team members, clients, vendors, and freight.
  • Finally, our support staff has been prepared and authorized to support operations remotely from their homes, to continue to provide uninterrupted, unmatched service.
